Every sculpture, piece of artistic stonework and restoration is made with close attention to material selection, execution and finish. The scale may change; the care applied to each piece does not.
António Monteiro
Born in 1963 in the Coimbra district, António Monteiro encountered stonework from an early age through his father’s craft. He developed as a self-taught stoneworker, working with and transforming different types of marble.
In 1987 he moved to Zurich, Switzerland. For four years he worked at Pedretti AG, broadening his experience with different stones and completing restoration training.

Precision is not only visible at the end. It guides every gesture.

The solution must respond to the space, use and chosen stone.
Quality
The work is only complete when the finish is right.
